If you love dogs, and 
want to hang out with some that need your company, this is the perfect place to meet our dogs and spend some time with them. You can walk them, play with them, or just let them socialize with the other dogs in the 30 minutes you ‘rent’ them for. It’s a great learning and socialization activity for the dogs, and their human companions hugely enjoy it too!

Visit ARP’s booth and meet some of our adoptable dogs, at this great fundraising event organized by Al-Van Humane Society.
There will be informational booths and vendors, raffles, food, games for the animals, and demonstrations sure to delight! Walk the parade (pre-registration required) with your dogs at 1 PM through downtown, and let the enjoy the limelight in the Best Trick, Spittin’ Image and the Awesome Outfit contest.

Two years ago was the first time I was introduced to the Dog Walk. As we drove to the event, there was a simultaneous migration of all dog owners to that side of town. I was stunned by the sight that met my eyes when I got there- there were dogs everywhere- little ones, big ones, all excited to be at such a big event and meet other doggie friends. It was here that I first met the volunteers from ARP, and the dogs, and the rest is history.
This year, the popular, full-filled event includes exciting competitive events such as the Skyhoundz Hyperflite Flying Disc Competition, The Classic K9 Show and American’s Best Frisbee Dogs.
When not watching the special demonstrations, participants can enjoy a two-mile walk and lunch, along with contests, pet photos, micochipping, raffles, a children’s area, pet adopt-a-thons, education booths, and more.
Meet our volunteers at our stall at this event and learn more about our organization. Whether you have a dog or not, it’s a great way to spend a fabulous sunny day out with your best friends.
