Beautiful with her tri-colored coat and trim build, Harper was born in about March 2011, making her just over a year old. She was rescued from a Southwest Michigan pound and came to us described as a Beagle mix. Our guess is that she’s an Australian Kelpie or perhaps a Kelpie, Basenji, Husky, or herding breed mix. Buffet is a confident young Pointer mix dog that loves people and loves life. He’s white with black markings, including a spotted left ear, a distinct spot between his ears, and a black band near the base of his white tail. Roxie is a medium-size young Labrador Retriever / Hound mix that came to us as a mama dog with her puppies. Her puppies have all been adopted, and Roxie is now waiting for her turn for a forever home. She’s very affectionate and sociable with other dogs as well as with people. Continue reading
Beagle mix Elvira is white with brown and black markings and a long, expressive face. At 10 months old, she’s almost full-grown but still has her puppy playfulness and curiosity. Her favorite game is “keep away” — she loves to run up to you, touch you, and then dart off. Continue reading
At 24 pounds and two to three years old, Marlin is a striking young Pug mix with his cute, eager face and gorgeous tan coat. He may be timid at first with new people, but he gets comfortable with you fast when you take him for a walk. It took him only a few minutes to pose for the photographer, and he loves the kennel staff members at the Animal Rescue Project shelter, where he’s staying. Continue reading
