Featured Dog: Elvira

Beagle mix Elvira is white with brown and black markings and a long, expressive face. At 10 months old, she’s almost full-grown but still has her puppy playfulness and curiosity. Her favorite game is “keep away” — she loves to run up to you, touch you, and then dart off. Continue reading

Featured Cat: Ember

Ember is a domestic short hair Burmese mix cat and is an absolute sweetheart. She is the cuddliest, friendliest cat I have ever fostered. All she wants on a constant basis is to have attention, be sitting in your lap, or just be by your side. Featured Dog: Dolly

When Dolly first arrived at the Animal Rescue Project shelter as a younger puppy, we thought she was a Doberman Pinscher / Hound mix. Now that she’s 10 months old and still small, a better guess might be a Miniature Pinscher (Min Pin) / Hound mix. What hasn’t changed is her personality — she’s still as sweet as can be, and everyone agrees that her name fits her perfectly. Continue reading

Featured Cat: Starburst

Born in July 2010, tortoiseshell Starburst is officially still a kitten although she’s almost a full-grown cat. Her name describes her tortie appearance and her personality — her striking coat looks like a star burst its brightness onto the contrasting dark background, and her personality shines brightly too. Continue reading
